About Us
The Great Falls branch has been active since 1914 and will celebrate its 110th anniversary next year, making it one of the oldest women’s service groups in Montana. The branch currently has about 50 members living in the Great Falls area.
Meetings
The branch meets monthly from September to May, with speakers at each meeting. Most often meetings are held at the University of Great Falls, but some are held at the speaker’s workplace. Each December, there is a holiday luncheon, and in May the branch hosts a celebration brunch honoring their scholarship winners, community contributors, and outstanding branch members.
Programs and Activities
The major branch fundraising activity is the annual book sale. In 2010, the branch decided to expand the book sale to two weeks in October. Proceeds from the book sales fund local scholarships for those seeking bachelor’s and associate’s degrees. In addition, the branch donates funds the Great Falls Public Library, Wedsworth Memorial Library in Cascade, the Belt Public Library and the library at Great Falls College MSU.
Interest Groups
The branch has three different book clubs that meet monthly at various locations and times.
