About Us
Formed in 1924, AAUW-Billings maintains a membership hovering around 60. Our endowment, managed by members, funds two college scholarships annually. Our branch provides its members with a great venue for networking, learning, and community service.
Meetings
Our general meetings are held at 11:30 am on the second Saturday of the months of September through May in the Bair Student Center on the Rocky Mountain College campus. Optional lunch is available for a reasonable price. Board meetings, open to all members, occur quarterly.
Programs and Activities
Programming continues to be one of our strengths, focusing on public education, equality and individual rights, economic self-sufficiency for all women, and the promotion of the arts and humanities. This past spring we awarded college scholarships to MyLinda Lovell from Montana State University Billings and Kasha Caprata from Rocky Mountain College. Our annual Named Gift Award went to Barbara Gulick who helped our branch become more politically active in support of the public policies of our state and national organization.
Interest Groups
The Billings branch continues to thrive with an active modern literature group that meets monthly and with members who are leaders in our community. We have an enthusiastic Relay for Life team which raises money for that event each summer.
